Ingredients 

Marinade

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 lb Chicken breast, cubed

Gyro

  • 4 pieces Pita bread
  • 1 cup Tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup Tomato, diced
  • 1 cup Red onion, sliced
  • 1 cup Lettuce, shredded

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and oregano to make the marinade.
  2. 2. Add cubed chicken to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. 3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers and grill for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked.
  5. 5. Warm pita bread on the grill for a minute on each side.
  6. 6. Assemble the gyro by placing grilled chicken, tzatziki sauce, tomato, red onion, and lettuce on the pita bread.
  7. 7. Fold the pita and serve immediately.
