Marinade
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 lb Chicken breast, cubed
Gyro
- 4 pieces Pita bread
- 1 cup Tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup Tomato, diced
- 1 cup Red onion, sliced
- 1 cup Lettuce, shredded
1. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and oregano to make the marinade.
2. Add cubed chicken to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
4. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers and grill for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked.
5. Warm pita bread on the grill for a minute on each side.
6. Assemble the gyro by placing grilled chicken, tzatziki sauce, tomato, red onion, and lettuce on the pita bread.
7. Fold the pita and serve immediately.
