Gorditas
- 2 cups masa harina corn flour
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 cup vegetable oil for cooking
In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina, warm water, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each into a ball. Flatten each ball into a thick disk.
Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and add a bit of vegetable oil.
Cook the gorditas for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Serve warm with your favorite fillings.
