Prime Rib Ingredients
- 1 whole Prime Rib Roast about 6-8 pounds
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Rosemary fresh, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Thyme fresh, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Rub the mixture all over the prime rib roast.
Place the roast in a roasting pan, fat side up.
Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C).
Continue roasting for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
