Ingredients 

Prime Rib Ingredients

  • 1 whole Prime Rib Roast about 6-8 pounds
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Rosemary fresh, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Thyme fresh, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the prime rib roast.
  4. Place the roast in a roasting pan, fat side up.
  5. Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C).
  6. Continue roasting for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
